I used to waste so much time every night looking at the empty cupboards and refrigerator, trying to force myself to magically come up with something to eat, not wanting to go to the store, and then end up ordering expensive take out and eating way too much because by the time it got there I was starving. Now I know exactly what I am going to eat for breakfast and dinner for the entire week and all I have to do is take out the small portion and reheat it. Saves me so much time, money, anxiety, and calories!
